The District has a structured District Level Disaster Management Team in place. Every year an updated Disaster Management Module is prepared identifying the high risk areas, alternative rehabilitation sites, key first responders of various disciplines including health and key areas where resources including medicines are stored for use during crisis /cut off periods. The main disaster anticipated is floods. Apart from flood landslides in the Buxa hills, cyclones and earthquakes are other disasters for which plans are in place.
A common WhatsApp group has been formed which helps better coordination between different stakeholders
