Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) is implemented through the Anwesha Clinics at the Rural Hospital/BPHCs and the Adolescent Friendly Health Clinic (AFHC) at the DH, Alipurduar.
Counsellors attached to these clinics attend to the problems of the adolescents and counsel them accordingly. They visit schools and conduct counselling sessions at the respective RHs/BPHCs, as well as, at the PHCs once a month.
The main focus of counselling is Nutrition, Prevention of Anaemia, Prevention of Early Marriage, Learning disabilities, Menstrual hygiene ( for girls only), etc.
